Aperio Software is a company specialising in scientific software development, support and training.
Founded by members of the open source astronomy and solar physics communities, we at Aperio Software (Aperio meaning I open in Latin) believe that high quality open software is a cornerstone of modern scientific research.
We work with a wide range of clients including universities, open-source projects and individual researchers to improve the quality and reliability of scientific code.
Aperio Software supports every stage of the scientific software life cycle, from software development and testing to documentation, packaging and user support.
We can:
- write custom high-quality scientific software and pipelines for specific projects;
- help support existing scientific software, including bringing it in line with good programming practices (setting up and writing tests, documentation, etc.);
- help package and distribute software.
We have extensive experience with making packages easy to install through standard package managers (including for example pip for Python packages, or conda);

We can organize workshops tailored to specific domains and group sizes, ranging from a few hours to e.g. week-long workshops;
